MOLDOVASEE/SAW

Presence does not begin with perception. Something may already be there, yet remain hidden, go unnoticed, or become intelligible only later. A gesture may take place without witnesses, an intervention may be known only through its effects, and the meaning of a work may take shape over time and through the context in which it is encountered.

The exhibition begins with the distance between the existence of something and the moment we become aware of it. The works unfold through actions, trans-formations, and connections that emerge gradually through proximity, memory, association, or discovery. The periphery becomes a shifting field, shaped by what enters and leaves our attention.
