Erinnern im Innern – Remembering within: Three sculptural positions revolve around internalized imperatives. Patriarchal and speciesitic systems of dominance, tamed wilderness, sterilized needs. The industrial and media exploitation of body and mind. With her sculptures, Sasha Auerbakh evokes mechanical associations of industrial production, but also of the conditioning of female bodies in the service of social capitalization. Juraj Rattaj refers to utopian architecture and uses ceramics the shingle cladding of a pine cone-shaped observatory for bison at the Bratislava Zoo as a graphic matrix. In his welding works, Tomáš Roubal exhibits, among other things, the entanglement of the individual in the cobwebs of social networks.

Erinnern im Innern- Remembering within: The slogan is emblazoned on Vienna‘s Haus des Meeres, a former flak tower converted into a large aquarium. In its salty habitats, visitors and fish may remember the endless expanses of the oceans. On the tenth floor of the building, an exhibition commemorates its original use during the war, smashed to pieces (in the still of the night).
